Eigenvibrations of a convex piezoelectric plate with ellipsoid surface

This report addresses an analysis of the eigenfrequencies of the convex piezoelectric resonator of the ellipsoid shape with arbitrary orientation of the ellipsoid axes with respect to the self-axes of the piezoelectric crystal. As an essential result of the studies, we show that the frequency spectrum of a resonator strongly depends on anisotropy of the piezoelectric surface. It needs to be remarked that such anisotropy involves additional parameters (unlike the case of spherical model of a resonator) to adjust spectrum of the resonator and, thus, the model is more flexible. On the other hand, the additional parameters make possible achieving much more optimized spectral performance of a resonator. |
